Research
The department is well equipped. We have a fully-equipped research vessel and a wide range of specialized equipment to do marine environmental survey and monitoring. This includes all types of current meters, drifters, pressure gauges for waves and tides, XBT, a AVHRR satellite receiving station, sonar side scan, laser particle analyzer, a fully-equipped high quality chemical oceanography laboratory and a OnyxII and Origin 2000 super computer and image processing system. Research topics are accordingly broad.
